James & Marina, the mentalist duo professionally known as MIND2MIND, brought their carefully structured mind-reading act to America’s Got Talent Season 21. James Harrington and Marina Liani entered the season as the 2025 FISM World Champions of Mentalism and also brought experience from their Las Vegas performances at Fontainebleau Las Vegas.
After advancing from the Auditions, James & Marina returned during Judges’ Callbacks Week 1, where their second performance incorporated Emma Bunton into another prediction and earned the duo a place in the Live Shows. They ultimately reached Quarterfinals 1, where they performed a larger mentalism routine involving audience members’ zodiac signs and childhood memories. James & Marina were eliminated after America’s Vote and did not advance to the Semifinals.

Who Are James & Marina?
James & Marina are James Harrington and Marina Liani, a mentalist duo who perform professionally as MIND2MIND. Their act combines mind-reading, predictions, audience participation, and seemingly impossible connections between people.
The duo had an established television and live-performance career before returning to America’s Got Talent Season 21. They previously competed on AGT Season 17 as MIND2MIND and later became the 2025 FISM World Champions of Mentalism.
In 2026, MIND2MIND brought their mentalism show to Azul at Fontainebleau Las Vegas. The Las Vegas performances centered on the same style of audience participation, thought reveals, and predictions that James & Marina brought to the AGT stage.
Their performances rely on simple choices that gradually become part of a larger prediction. Rather than presenting the act as a sequence of unrelated tricks, James guides each participant through a controlled series of decisions while Marina reveals information she should not appear able to know.
That structure allows the audience to follow each step of the routine before the final prediction connects the choices together.
James & Marina’s America’s Got Talent Audition
James & Marina began their Season 21 audition by separating themselves so Marina could not see what was happening at the judges’ table. James then guided Mel B through a sequence of choices while Marina attempted to identify the information from a distance.
The routine built its tension through Mel B’s reactions. Each correct response made her more skeptical about how Marina could know the details James had asked her to select.
Instead of rushing directly to the final reveal, the duo allowed the judges and audience to process each successful prediction before continuing. That pacing made the routine increasingly difficult to dismiss as coincidence.
By the end of the performance, Mel B was openly questioning how the mind-reading had been accomplished. The judges responded to the clarity of the routine and advanced James & Marina from the Auditions.
James & Marina’s Judges’ Callback Performance
James & Marina returned during Judges’ Callbacks Week 1 knowing that another successful prediction would determine whether they reached the Live Shows. The callback took place in front of Mel B and special guest Emma Bunton.
The duo moved beyond the structure of their original audition by turning Emma into an active part of the routine. James guided her through a series of choices while Marina worked toward a prediction based on information she should not have been able to receive.
Emma’s involvement gave the performance a different energy from the audition. Her uncertainty and visible reactions allowed the audience to follow the routine through the participant’s perspective rather than simply waiting for the final answer.
The prediction came together successfully, giving Mel B another example of the duo’s ability to build a mentalism routine around a recognizable guest without losing control of the presentation.
When the Judges’ Callback results were announced, James & Marina were selected to advance to the Live Shows.
Why James & Marina Stood Out
James & Marina stood out because their mentalism was structured around the reactions of the people participating in the routine. Mel B’s disbelief during the audition and Emma Bunton’s uncertainty during the callback became part of the entertainment rather than interruptions to it.
The duo also made each routine easy to follow. James established the choices clearly, Marina remained separated from the information, and the final prediction brought the individual decisions together in a way the audience could understand immediately.
The callback performance showed that the act could be adapted for a different participant and setting. James & Marina did not simply repeat their audition. They placed Emma at the center of a new prediction while preserving the communication and mind-reading concept that defined their first appearance.
In Quarterfinals 1, James & Marina expanded the act beyond a single celebrity participant by bringing audience members into the mentalism. Marina divined the zodiac signs of different people in the audience and correctly identified childhood memories, continuing the duo’s approach of revealing personal information she appeared to have no way of knowing.
The Quarterfinal performance also produced a more divided response than their earlier appearances. Simon Cowell buzzed the act during the routine, signaling that the live performance had not connected with him as strongly as the duo’s earlier mentalism.
Even with Simon’s buzzer, the performance demonstrated how James & Marina could scale their core concept for the Live Shows. Instead of relying only on a judge or guest celebrity, they used people throughout the audience and made their personal memories part of the routine.
Their Season 21 performances also reflected the broader MIND2MIND act they had developed professionally. The reliance on audience participation, predictions, and apparently impossible transfers of information matched the style that helped establish James Harrington and Marina Liani as FISM World Champions and Las Vegas performers.
America’s Vote ultimately ended their Season 21 run. James & Marina did not receive enough votes to enter the Top 5 of Quarterfinals 1 and were eliminated from the competition.
What Happens Next for James & Marina?
James & Marina’s America’s Got Talent Season 21 competition ended in Quarterfinals 1 after America’s Vote.
Their completed run included a successful audition centered on Mel B, a Judges’ Callbacks performance involving Emma Bunton, and a live Quarterfinal mentalism routine in which Marina identified audience members’ zodiac signs and childhood memories.
James & Marina did not receive enough votes to enter the Top 5 of Quarterfinals 1 and did not advance to the Semifinals, making the Quarterfinal their final performance in the Season 21 competition.
