Daren Streblow is like the funny man next door with his clean humor about everyday life events. He talks about how dangerous it is to get on a water slide, all while making such a situation seem hilarious. Everything he discusses is truthful and funny.
It may be “the miracle of life,” but childbirth is not the prettiest of sights no matter what way you cut it. Comedian Daren Streblow has a thing or two to say about the horror of c-sections and the creeping, curious affair of natural childbirth.
Clean Comedy from a funny man
If you’re looking for clean comedy that is an unpredictable and fresh show-stopper, look no further. Daren Streblow, the occupational comedian from Ely, Minnesota is about to enjoy a date night with his wife……if he doesn’t mess it up. Everyone’s had a bad date night experience, but maybe not quite as bad as this one. After his wife sends him out to pick a movie, Daren causes viewers everywhere to question his sanity by his movie choice…and that’s not the worst of it: it seems that the case and contents of his DVD choice don’t quite match up. Viewers will enjoy Daren’s explanation of what happened next during this video.
Christian comedian Daren Streblow takes a baby’s eye view of child-birth in this quick clip from one of his live performances. Combining clean language and expansive, yet laid back gestures, this Christian comedian delights the audience and his fellow performers.
Streblow offers a slightly different take on everyday life in his work. His delivery style is remarkably similar to Fred Rogers, late host of the legendary Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood. That is not surprising when you learn that Streblow counts the Presbyterian minister as one of his greatest influences.
Anyone who can relate to water slides, body art, married life, or trying to fit in with the cool crowd will love his act as a funny man. He has an “as a matter of fact” style that engages his audience. They feel as they are about to hear an exciting story from a dear friend. Daren is not overly enthusiastic. He keeps it cool so that people feel comfortable with him, but he still manages to have very successful deliveries with his clean comedy. He uses his wit and personality to deliver rather than an excess of energy.
Having paid his dues, which including driving several hours one way each week to do a three-minute routine, Streblow has achieved success in his career. He most recently appeared in Thou Shalt Laugh 5, the fifth DVD of Christian comedians performing at various venues.
Daren grew up in Minnesota with an emphasis on superheroes and fantasy worlds. In fact, he loved super heroes so much that he became one by dressing up as a “traffic violation man” type super hero as a prank on some people on the road. He also got some jollies by lighting a few nontraditional campfires and practicing his arrow shooting at unauthorized locations such as his friend’s house. Daren did not have the best childhood, but he made light of it with his wild imagination, and his zest for entertaining people made him a funny man.
In school, Daren had a knack for making his teachers laugh. However, the teacher’s pet status that he earned did not gain him popularity during the school years. His mother encouraged him to find work at a radio station. After working for a brief time at the radio station, Daren pursued a degree in communications. He believed that his career was going to be in radio, until one day when he discovered what he was meant to do: comedy. Today the Daren Streblow Comedy Show features comedians like Tim Hawkins, Robert G. Lee, Ken Davis, Brian Regan and Chonda Pierce.
Soon after changing his career path, Daren met Brad Stine, who helped to get him connections in the comedy world. Ever since then, Daren has been spreading his sensational clean comedy to the ears of people all across the nation. He has performed with other comedians such as Fish Sticks, to provide an all-around amazing show. Fish Sticks are a group of seven amazing entertainers who are partially from Milwaukee. The Fish Sticks also provide clean comedy, but their style is more “hands on”, meaning they involve the crowd more than most performers. Daren has joined them several times and has always had great success.
People who watch Daren Streblow will get a refreshing and comforting type of narrative comedy with a nice twist. They will engage with the audience quite a bit, and you will see why Daren Streblow is a funny man.
