America’s Got Talent Season 16 had everything from shocking eliminations to many incredible performances and heartwarming moments. And with the last ten acts consisting of five Golden Buzzer winners, we were not surprised when one of the judges referred to season 16 as the most competitive final ever.
That’s why we decided to showcase in the following article the four finalists, which we think went above and beyond to deliver a stellar performance. They have impressed the audiences and will most surely impress you as well.
Josh Blue
The 42-year-old comedian from Colorado charmed America with his self-deprecating humor and heartwarming personality. His performances incorporated jokes about his life experiences, including his cerebral palsy, a condition he has had since he was a baby.
On the stage, Josh doesn’t shy away from his disability. He makes a point of putting it out there, hoping that he will change people’s perceptions of what it means to have a disability.
Before finishing in 3rd place on America’s Got Talent, Josh performed on Dry Bar Comedy and on the show Last Comic Standing (where he ended up winning the competition).
He has shown the world that people with disabilities can impact, which might be Josh Blue’s best punch line.
Léa Kyle
By combining the sewing skills she acquired through Haute couture training with dazzling magic, 25-year-old Léa Kyle captured America’s heart with her unique quick-change act. This type of magic performance is the art of changing clothes in a fraction of a second.
During the competition, Léa was able to pull off a series of dazzling quick-change tricks while also performing a short choreography. The audience couldn’t tell how she managed to do so many things at once.
After her finale performance on the show, one of the judges even went as far as dubbing Léa as the best quick-change act in the world.

Jimmie Herrod
Jimmie Herrod has become a well-known figure from America’s Got Talent Season 16. Though he didn’t grab the grand prize, his incredible performances on the show caught the country’s attention with his wide vocal range and classy looks.
On his audition day, the vocalist performed “Tomorrow” from the musical Annie. Despite Simon’s aversion to the tune (which he considers the worst audition song ever), the contestant stuck with his choice and earned a Golden Buzzer from Sofia Vergara.

Brooke Simpson
Brooke Simpson appeared on AGT as a Top 10 finalist in Season 16, winning the hearts of America with her explosive vocals. After a string of incredible performances, Brooke became the first act of Native American heritage to advance to the finals.
Before singing her heart out on America’s Got Talent stage, Brooke was competing in the 13th season of The Voice, where she had the opportunity to work with artists such as Miley Cyrus, Sia, Taboo, and more. It was during that time that she built her stage experience.
And with that extra boost of confidence from her past competition, we can understand why watching her on AGT felt like seeing a pop star. But don’t just take our word for it.
Check out the video below and see for yourself why we think she deserves a spot on this list.
