As one of the judges on America’s Got Talent, Simon Cowell is known for his scathing remarks, which have often been deemed borderline rude.

It’s true; impressing Simon Cowell is a difficult task. But it’s not an impossible one.

Please keep reading to learn more about five top AGT acts that made it into Simon’s list of favorites.

1. W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew

Competing in season 15 of America’s Got Talent, W.A.F.F.L.E. Crew managed to get Simon Cowell to hit the golden buzzer for them, thus securing a place in the live shows.

The inspiring dance crew of seven male dancers from the Bronx impressed Simon with their incredible dance skills, fresh choreography, and mission: inspiring inner-city children to unleash their creativity.

2. Brandon Leake

The 1st poet ever in the show’s history to get the coveted Golden Buzzer, Brandon Leake surprised judge Simon Cowell with his audition and completely changed his view on poetry.

I just want to compliment you on what you did because it was extraordinary,” said Simon in response to Brandon’s first performance on the show.

However, it was Howie Mandel who pressed the famous buzzer for Brandon. The talented poet then delivered a stunning act in the finals, winning season 15 and taking home the big prize.

3. Courtney Hadwin

When then-13-year-old Courtney Hadwin first stepped on the stage of America’s Got Talent, she was visibly nervous and shy.

But after a few words of encouragement from judge Mel B., the young singer delivered a magnificent rendition of Otis Redding’s “Hard to Handle,” for which she received a standing ovation from all the judges.

You were like this shy little thing when you first came out, and then you sing, and you’re like a lion,” said Simon Cowell, commenting on Courtney’s audition which he also described as genuinely incredible.
