Dancing is one of the most celebrated and in-demand forms of entertainment. With shows such as World of Dance getting record high numbers in viewership, it’s clear the audiences can’t get enough of it.
There are many reasons why the show is so popular, but ultimately, it’s the dance groups which need to be credited the most. It’s their expertise and world-class talent which manages to capture people’s hearts.
In order to give you a better picture of how good some of these groups are, in this following article, we will have a look at some of the best finalist acts from World of Dance and we will let you decide if they stand up to the hype!
1. Kings United
Everyone who has tuned in for World of Dance’s 3rd season, surely remembers The Kings. They are the Indian powerhouse who dominated the competition and got rightfully crowned as season 3’s absolute champions.
Nobody can forget their final performance, where the group performed a war themed choreography. Everything about them was calculated and delivered with high professionalism.
They were even wearing gladiatorial body armor so as to enhance the war-like aesthetic. And viewers will surely know what we mean when we’re saying the slow motion section was simply phenomenal.
2. Les Twins
Les Twins are Laurent and Larry Nicolas, twin dancers who took the world by storm at the beginning of the 2010’s. They first made headlines in their native country France, only to then break into the mainstream.
This event happened due to a video of one of their performance becoming viral on YouTube and offering people from around the round a glimpse of this up and coming wonder duo.
In 2017, they cemented their status as legendary dancers by competing and subsequently winning the 1st season and setting themselves among the best acts from World of Dance.
They have inspired a whole generation of dancers and will probably do so for many years to come.
3. Michael Dameski
Michael Dameski is a dancer, a singer and an actor. He has been a dancer from a very early age. He was only 6 years old when he entered his first competition and placed among the top 10.
As time passed, Michael never strayed away from dancing, signing up for formal training and continuing to practice relentlessly.
After a while, Michael was ready for the big leagues and his major debut came when he was elected to represent Australia at the World Championships of Performing Arts.
With such an achievement, he was determined to step up on the international stage and went on to participate in NBC’s World of Dance.
He would turn up to be a regular performer on the World of Dance stage. At first, he ended as the runner up of the 2nd season of the show and would return during the 3rd season for a special appearance.
4. The Lab
The Lab is a junior dance group and they were the absolute showstoppers and perhaps among the best acts from World of Dance. The group had the image of youthful rebellion and was composed of teens determined to make an impact on the entire dance industry.
They also have a very sad story tied to their name, one which stands at the core of what drives them further. A majority of the kids have had harsh upbringing and came from broken home environments.
Collectively, they have found a purpose in The Lab, where they learned the valuable lessons of teamwork and camaraderie.
Coming from a position of being the “underdogs” of the show, they proved everyone that age is only a number when it comes to performing sick dance moves.
