America’s Got Talent is a one-of-a-kind talent competition which offers entertainers the chance to win their headline show in Las Vegas.

Singers, comedians, magicians, dancers, ventriloquists or contortionists – these are just some of the most common types of entertainers who were on the AGT stage.

The America’s Got Talent performances we will talk about in this article have gone through a rigorous selection process. Even though the judges have changed over the years, the AGT finalists in all of the seasons have become one of the most recognizable names in the entertainment industry.

Let’s see is one of the best performances as seen on AGT.

Best of the Best: America's Got Talent Performances You Need to See

Kechi Okwuchi

Kechi Okwuchi was a finalist in season 12 of America’s Got Talent. She was born in Nigeria, has 28 years and adores to sing.

Singing has been a big part of her life since she was seven but started taking it more seriously in the last 12 years.

Kechi’s story is not only about her beautiful voice. It is also about the fact she is a survivor.

Literally and figuratively.

In December 2005, at the age of 16, she was involved in a plane crash, and she was one of the two survivors. 107 people lost their lives that day, and the majority of them were her classmates.

Kechi’s family and friends provided all the support she needed to overcome physical, mental and emotional obstacles.

During the time she was in the hospital, she was not able to move because she was bandaged head to toe and so music was her escape. Music helped Kechi go through the hardest time of her life, and it is the main reason why it means so much to her.

Because she dedicated the last 12 years of her life to singing, her first performance on AGT was extraordinarily emotional and breathtaking.

You can see the video below how beautiful she sang a cover after Ed Sheeran – Thinking Out Loud.

Eric Jones

Eric Jones was a semifinalist on AGT season 12, and he is one of the most entertaining magicians in the world.

Eric has made a name for himself in the world of magic. His shows have been featured at Magic Castle in Hollywood, New York City’s Monday Night Magic, Masters of Illusion and on Comedy Central.

His close-up magic tricks, sleight of hand, digital dexterity, will leave any audience asking “how did he do it?”.

You can see below one of his America’s Got Talent Performances and how he carefully maneuvers coins and deceives our perception.

Billy and Emily England

“This was perfection,” said Simon Cowell after he saw Billy and Emily perform for the first time on AGT.

Billy and Emily England are an extreme rollerblade brother and sister duo, and they were semifinalists in season 12.

The siblings got into roller skating ever since they were six. Their mother got them skates so that they would spend more time out of the house. When it was raining, she improvised by moving the kitchen furniture and transformed it into a skating rink.

Billy and Emily love the grace and elegance of roller skating, which is why they took it to another level.

You can see the video below how extreme their America’s Got Talent performance were.
