How to Create Unbelievable Custom Sand Art

There are so many forms of entertainment to choose from when planning a conference. The guests want to be entertained, and the host wants to put on an event to remember. The meeting planner also wants to choose something new and different. Custom sand art is a new form of party entertainment that will intrigue guests and leave them captivated. An artist works with sand on a glass top with a camera overhead, and the image is then projected onto a screen on the wall. It is a constantly changing picture that creates a different type of animation most people have not experienced before. The room is darkened so that the sand art can be illuminated on the wall for all to see. It does not require a narrative, but may have music playing in the background. Sand art is a perfect choice for entertainment because it appeals to all crowds regardless of age, gender or language and will leave guests spellbound by the performance.

Custom Sand Art is The Newest Form of Entertainment

HEB

Joe Castillo - HUB

The depth of detail and precision this artist, Joe Castillo, shows in the people and pictures he creates is incredible. The transitions for each picture are so smooth the audience patiently waits to see what is coming next. If the event is for a specific brand or company, the artist can incorporate different aspects of the company into the presentation. It would be a new and interesting way to honor a person or a company rather than giving a single award.

Custom sand art can be faster paced like this performance with bright and catchy music in the background that coordinates to the ever-changing images. It can be as specific or as general as the client requests. The images can represent a custom story, logo or just provide entertainment for the guests. Two pictures are never the same, so there is plenty of varieties!

Make A Wish

The artist, Joe Castillo, tells a complete story about a boy affected by the Make a Wish foundation. They combine great music with colorful lights and slowly paint a picture of a story for all of the audience to see. There are no words, but the meaning and concept is clear. Events may wish to tell a story rather than promote a brand or a person, and this form of sand art is an excellent example of how to keep the audience fascinated on the story.

Disneyland

This is a short holiday video for Disneyland and the holidays. It is very quick, and the custom sand art is shown in a speed version. Anyone watching would quickly be able to tell what this was a holiday greeting for because the pictures look just like Disneyland and Mickey Mouse. It is an excellent portrayal of a real place and brings more recognition to a globally known brand.

UPS

UPS also created a holiday message for their customers to enjoy. The custom sand art shows all of the different ways they deliver packages to people throughout the year and Christmas season. This form of a message can create more customer loyalty and branding because of the creativity displayed. People will want to see it more than once whether it is at an event or displayed through other mediums.

Burger King

Joe Castillo: 2013 BURGER KING® Global Convention

Burger King wanted to do something different for their global convention in 2013, so they hired a sand artist to paint the History of Burger King. The artist, Joe Castillo, moves fluidly from the beginnings of an idea to the plan coming to fruition in a big hamburger. The artist takes great care in even the little parts of the story, and the details in people’s faces and a map of the world are impeccable.

GMC

The difference in this GMC video is that the artist uses a colored lights for the sand. It creates the illusion of the sky and sand for the truck to be driving on. The music makes the performance seem suspenseful and exciting opposed to just a stagnant drawing. He even transforms the exterior of the car into a lion’s face and other creations. Guests will be captivated by the amazing transformations taking place right before their eyes.  A Sand Story is perfect for product launches.

Tobin Center for Performing Arts

The entertainer, Joe Castillo, moves seamlessly between different scenes he is painting and carefully times the transitions to the music change as well. He showcases the different types of people who enjoy the Grand Opening of the Tobin Center for Performing Arts and the different performances that are put on at the venue. The sand art entertainment is enough to make someone want to visit this venue without actually knowing anything about it!

Pittsburgh Penguins

Joe Castillo is the sand art entertainer in this video as well. He transforms the Pittsburgh Penguins into more than just a hockey team and shows how they partner with nonprofit foundations. It is heartwarming and evokes more emotion than someone would imagine sand can do. The sand art story is interesting and keeps the audience engaged the entire time.

Custom sand art may be new to some people or seen by others, but the benefit of using sand is the transformation of images. The entertainer can create and tell an engaging story to the people in attendance. It is an interesting new way to bring fun and excitement to an event that will leave people talking about it for weeks to come
