How to Create Unbelievable Custom Sand Art

There are so many forms of entertainment to choose from when planning a conference. The guests want to be entertained, and the host wants to put on an event to remember. The meeting planner also wants to choose something new and different. Custom sand art is a new form of party entertainment that will intrigue guests and leave them captivated. An artist works with sand on a glass top with a camera overhead, and the image is then projected onto a screen on the wall. The artist takes great care in even the little parts of the story, and the details in people’s faces and a map of the world are impeccable.


The difference in this GMC video is that the artist uses a colored lights for the sand. It creates the illusion of the sky and sand for the truck to be driving on. The music makes the performance seem suspenseful and exciting opposed to just a stagnant drawing. He even transforms the exterior of the car into a lion’s face and other creations. Tobin Center for Performing Arts

The entertainer, Joe Castillo, moves seamlessly between different scenes he is painting and carefully times the transitions to the music change as well.
