The 16th season of America’s Got Talent was a return to form. Having the show revert back to its classic in-house format after the last season took place virtually.
Besides the nostalgic throwback to the classic AGT, this season was also marked by a wide array of variety acts – which combined comedy, magic, dancing, music, and incredible light shows.
In this article, we will present some of these acts which we think went above and beyond.
Léa Kyle – Quick-Change Artist
The 25-year-old French magician captured America’s heart with her unique quick-change talents.
Impressed with her performance, Heidi concluded that Léa deserved an automatic pass into the live shows round, making her the first magic act to receive the Golden Buzzer in the competition’s audition phase.
Léa is not the first quick-change act on AGT, but her natural showmanship and sewing skills, which she acquired through Haute fashion training, quickly set her apart.
With her beautiful costumes, she created a never-before-seen act that helped her finish the competition in 5th place, crowning her as the first female magician to reach the final.
Léa’s career is taking off lately, and she’s likely going to find even more success now. Check out one of her enchanting performances in the clip below:
Aidan Bryant – Aerialist
One of the incredible variety acts this season was Aidan Bryant and his high-fly aerial performance. He is a 16-year-old aerialist with excellent physical condition and an unbending determination.
There are many things to admire about him, but the one asset that stands out the most is that he is entirely self-taught. And he was able to achieve all that acrobatic prowess by himself with only two years of training.
He managed to dazzle the judges and the rest of America with an aerial performance exquisitely mixed with lights and music as a backdrop during the show.

Dustin Tavella – Magician
After wowing viewers and the judges with his exciting magic tricks, Dustin Tavella was crowned the winner of the talent show’s 16th season, making him the third magician to win on AGT.
Out of all the variety acts from this season, Dustin’s may seem the simplest. However, his subtle combination of magic, mentalism, and hopeful speeches was enough to convince the audience and judges that he had what it takes.
Dubbed a “born storyteller” by judge Simon Cowell, Dustin won everyone’s heart when he shared his inspirational goal to make a difference in the world.
He believes that real magic happens when we make a positive impact in someone else’s life, and after the confetti is cleared away, Dustin can’t wait to do more real-world magic.

Her charming personality, combined with a natural comedic timing, got a grip on the judge’s heart and managed to get her in the 10th position this season.
The 41-years-old Bronx native left no stone unturned during her show, approaching all sorts of topics, ranging from dating, wedding planning, motherhood, and more.
