Comedians Offer Humor about DatingA comedian can help to bring an event together, especially a comic with whom the crowd can relate. Some comedians are not appropriate for events such as galas, fundraisers or concerts because their material is geared towards a particular audience, but others make their living with jokes that translate to different audiences.

In comedy, dating is a common theme that comes up, especially online dating websites. This is a topic that people of different generations and backgrounds can relate to because they’ve been through the awkwardness, anticipation and strange conversations and situations involved in the ritual. The subject matter especially relatable to couples spending a night out with each other at an event. Single people too can appreciate the humor involved in being in the scene. When putting together a smaller or larger banquet, fundraiser, birthday or gathering, event planners should consider hiring a comedian that does dating-related material because guests of all ages are sure to find the material funny.

He has performed for troops all over the world, in countries such has Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan, the Middle East, Japan, and China. He has also made TV appearances on “The Late Show with David Letterman” and “Last Comic Standing” and written for “Saturday Night Live” and “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.”

Why are basketball shorts just a short distance above the ankles? Why do women like belly button piercings, one of the least functional jewelry items a person can wear? Do you ever think what that tattoo is going to look like 30 years from now?

Fast-paced Hispanic comedian Carlos Oscar takes a humorous look at today’s fashion trends in this clip from one of his shows. Oscar expresses the exact same bewilderment we all have at the things people do today. Sure to please everyone, this clean-cut comedy bit cuts right to the laugh-out-loud comments we all make in our heads and don’t say out loud.

By acting out the stories he tells and effecting various voices for the characters in his stories, Oscar is sure to tell a story that will make you blurt out “He’s talking about my family!” as you roll with laughter.

Whatever the type of banquet, concert or party, having an experienced comedian who can talk about relatable topics such as relationships, especially online dating, can be essential to creating a memorable event. Guests of all ages and martial statuses are more likely to have a good time when event planners include some form of entertainment, and comedians understand how to bring joy to audiences through their observational humor, puppetry, sarcastic whit or distinctive onstage personas.
