From Overactive Child to Radio Show Host
Daren Streblow was born on January 5, 1971, in Ely, Minnesota. He recounts having an overactive imagination as a child who would often lead to trouble. Not anything too serious, just things like starting up fires in neighbors’ basements or jumping in front of cars wearing a Superman outfit.
He would make jokes even back then, but Daren likes to mention he was never considered to be the class clown. Additionally, he often says his jokes were more appreciated by his teachers, rather than his classmates.
Then, Daren Streblow grew up and got a part-time job at a radio station in Duluth, Minnesota. In fact, it was his mother the one who urged him into getting hired at a radio station because she felt his creativity would fit best in such an environment.
Daren simply fell in love with his job and went on to study communications at the University of Minnesota. However, instead of pursuing a career in radio, he decided to give stand-up comedy a try.
His first performances took place back in 1995 and would take only 5 to 10 minutes. However, his jokes were so good, in just three years he became a full-time comedian.
Daren Streblow Has a Remarkable Clean Comedy Career
In the following years after his debut, Daren has continued excelling at what he does best: comedy. He performed in countless venues for audiences of different ages. This fact helped him shape his act into one of the best stand-up performances ever.
He opened for some of the biggest names on the comedy stage such as Weird Al Yankovic, Brad Stine, and James Gregory. However, he did not quit radio. He now has his show called The Daren Streblow Comedy Show.
However, Daren has also worked for countless companies, including Disney Cruise Line, Universal Studios, and the ACME Comedy Company.
Additionally, thanks to the fact that Daren is a clean comedian, he is often asked to perform at churches, fundraisers, and universities.
