In its 15-year run, America’s Got Talent introduced the world to dozens of singers, comedians, magicians, ventriloquists, and other shades of talent.
From quick-change acts to card magic and mentalism tricks, these performers left a lasting impression on their audience and touched the hearts of millions of fans – many of which stuck with their favorite artist even after the show’s run.
With a magic act taking the number one spot this season, we decided to look back at some of the best AGT magicians in the show’s history and see what they are up to now.
Dustin Tavella
Let’s start with season 16 winner, magician Dustin Tavella. With sleight of hand and other magic tricks, this Virginia Beach native impressed fans and judges with his set of tricks as he intertwined heartwarming stories about his life.
Throughout his run on AGT, Dustin showcased his passion for philanthropy and encouraged the audience to serve others and make the world a better place.
After taking home the $1 million prize, the 35-year-old magician is now looking for a new place to live with his family. He is also preparing to start rehearsals for America’s Got Talent Las Vegas LIVE stage show at Luxor Hotel and Casino.
For his Vegas act, the magician wants to stay true to his goal of inspiring and motivating people to do more good and help those in need.
Dustin also partnered up with Compassion International, a humanitarian aid organization aiming to impact the long-term development of children living in poverty positively.

Shin Lim
We couldn’t talk about the most popular AGT magicians and not include the winner of Season 13, Shin Lim. Shin has two trophies to show off, as he’s also the winner of the 1st season of the Champion’s edition of the show.
After his success on America’s Got Talent, Shin was given his residency at The Mirage Casino-Hotel. The young magician also began participating on tour with The Illusionist, a theatrical magician troupe show.
With all of his success early on in his career, it’s safe to say that Shin will continue to innovate and take magic to a whole different level.

Piff the Magic Dragon
You may remember Piff as one of the finalists of America’s Got Talent, Season 10. A guy in a dragon costume who is spitting jokes instead of fire is hard to forget.
He didn’t win the show, but he was able to become one of the most beloved AGT magicians alongside his pet companion, a small chihuahua called Mr. Piffles.
Later, he even returned as a guest performer on AGT’s 2016 America’s Got Talent Holiday Spectacular and in 2017 during Season 12. He is a resident performer at The Flamingo Showroom, where he delights his guests with his critically acclaimed show.

Collins Key
Often referred to as “Magic’s First Pop Star,” Collins Key was a magician act from Season 8 of America’s Got Talent and was the first magician to make the top 5. He was only 16 years old when he auditioned for the show.
After his appearance on AGT, Collins was asked to be a presenter on the 2014 Teen Choice Awards, taking center stage with superstars such as Taylor Swift and Ariana Grande. He was also a featured speaker for TEDx.
He mainly concentrates on growing his YouTube channel, which he started with his younger brother Devan, and focuses on DIYs and challenges. Currently, at 23.3M subscribers, Collins is the most subscribed magician to come out of AGT.
