For almost a decade, Penn & Teller: Fool Us has showcased some of the finest displays of magic in the entire industry.

To give you a glimpse of some of these spectacular acts, we have compiled a list of captivating magicians that you should consider checking out.

1. Eric Chien

There are many reasons to praise the 7th season of Penn & Teller: Fool Us. However, if there’s something that stuck with us, it has to be the impressive cast of talented magicians who went up on stage.

Among them was Eric Chien, a young and charismatic close-up magician who blew everyone’s mind with his impressive set of skills.

He showcased a series of card tricks built upon one to lead to a grander final trick during the show. Viewers had to keep their eyes open at all times. Otherwise, they might have missed an important step in Eric’s machination.

Penn and Teller had a blast watching his performance, and they had to concede that they couldn’t make heads or tails of how he managed to pull off such an outstanding scheme.

2. Damien James

Damien James is without a doubt one of the most captivating magicians in the show’s history. For starters, his act probably had the most stage props out of all participants on the show, consisting of a wide array of gadgets, cards, boxes, and puppets.

However, something to be remembered is the fact that he managed to fool both hosts using ventriloquism. Long-time fans of the show will know that Penn is not fond of these types of tricks.

Yet, his act was incredible and a creative mix of puppetry and magic. It was an absolute blast to watch, and the audience’s reaction was proof of that.

3. Helen Coghlan

Helen Coghlan has established herself as one of the most captivating magicians on the show. Her history on Penn & Teller: Fool Us is nothing short of a saga. She has been on the show a total of 3 times, and each time, she has managed to be one step ahead of the hosts.

She is a magician and escapologist, the daughter of renowned Australian escape artist Arthur Coghlan. Helen carries the family torch of performing incredible and, sometimes, death-defying escape acts.

Her escape acts have been universally praised and applauded by the audience and commended by Penn and Teller. The two hosts being unable to figure out her ploys.

When Helen was locked in a cage in her most recent appearance, they couldn’t figure out how she managed to escape, even if they were the ones to lock her up.

4. Marcus Eddie

Marcus Eddie is a close-up magician and illusionist. He uses his skills to create situations where things aren’t always what they seem. Viewers are also spellbound by his hopeful and highly motivational speeches, which accompany his tricks.

Marcus is also the kind of performer that puts his ideas of grandeur to the test. He has participated twice in the show. The first time he went up on stage, while he managed to impress Penn and Teller, he could not fool them.

He then vowed to improve his act and try better next time. This second chance came during season 6 when Marcus returned to the show with a card shuffling trick.

This time, victory was his since Penn and Teller were unable to decipher how he did, and they had to admit that they have been fooled.
