Captain Scott O’Grady is not only a New York Times best-selling author but also an American hero.
After college, he attended the Euro-NATO Joint Jet Pilot Training Program in Texas. He served 12 years of military service and was assigned to Korea, Germany, Italy, Utah and lastly Washington.
Captain O’Grady went through a lot. His F-16 was hit by an anti-aircraft missile. At the time, he was helping enforce the NATO no-fly zone policy in the skies over Bosnia. He is lucky to be alive and to tell the story of how he survived for six entire days in a hostile environment. Captain O’Grady was rescued by the US Marines, and his story was featured on the Discovery Channel.
