America’s Got Talent season 13 had it all. Hilarious comedy, emotional, hair-raising performances, heart-pounding acts that kept everyone on the edge of their seats; all made this season one to be remembered.
And everything culminated with the show’s grand finale when the best from this year gave it they are all on stage.
Read this article to learn more about the ten amazing acts that made it into the finals of AGT -- the 2018 edition.
1. Duo Transcend (aerialists)
Duo Transcend, or Mary and Tyce, performed the most dangerous act of the finale -- and quite possibly of the entire season. The married couple started their number with Mary putting a blindfold over Tyce’s eyes -- while high up in the air.
And the blindfold stayed on throughout their death-defying trapeze act that featured some of the most dangerous stunts seen on America’s Got Talent.
You can learn more about Duo Transcend here and watch their breathtaking, million-dollar act in the video below.
2. Courtney Hadwin (singer)
Courtney Hadwin is only 14 years old but managed to impress everyone with her powerful voice and ability to captivate the audience.
After hearing the teen sing for the first time during the audition, judge Howie Mandel acknowledged her talent by pressing the much-coveted Golden Buzzer, thus sending her straight to the live performance round.
Her vocals, which have led some to say she’s the Janis Joplin of her generation, are downright impressive! For the finale, Courtney put her spin on a Tina Turner classic and lit up the stage. Take a look:
3. Vicki Barbolak (comedian)
Vicki Barbolak has been doing stand-up for 20 years now, and her experience as a performer was evident throughout her journey on America’s Got Talent season 13.
Her perfectly-timed jokes combined with the fact that she is unapologetically herself turned out to be nothing short of comedic gold. This is Vicki performing in the finale, and it’s likely to leave you in stitches!
4. Brian King Joseph (violinist)
Brian King Joseph opened finals and set a high standard with his energy-infused performance that was planned out to perfection.
His talent is out of this world, and the immense strength and passion with which he plays the violin bring an added level of excitement that makes his acts genuinely memorable.
The only way to get a real grasp of his amazing skills as a violinist and as a performer is to watch them in action.
5. Glennis Grace (singer)
Even since her audition, Dutch singer Glennis Grace wowed the judges (and the world) with the quality of her voice and her grace.
For the finale, she picked a song that showcased her soulful voice and allowed her to make a connection with the audience instantly.
Here’s your chance to watch the singer’s emotional performance in case you’ve missed it on TV.
6. Shin Lim (magician)
Unbelievable card tricks, mind-bending magic and a stage presence that can wow any audience; these are the assets that took Shin Lim all the way to the finale.
Shin was the only magician to make it into the finale this year, so his performance was highly-anticipated by all those watching. And he didn’t disappoint. His masterfully-executed act will challenge everything you thought you knew about what’s possible and what’s not.
Watch his jaw-dropping performance that combined storytelling with stunning visuals and some of the best card-magic ever seen on AGT:
Zurcaroh is an Austrian aerial dance group that has quickly become one of America’s favorite acts. Amazing visuals, perfectly-executed choreography, music, costumes, astounding acrobatics, and risky tricks; they all come together to shape an experience that is 100% pure entertainment.
Epic is the best word to describe their performance for America’s Got Talent season 13 finale for which they got a standing ovation from both the judges and the audience. You need to see this!
8. Samuel J. Comroe (comedian)
Samuel J. Comroe is a funny guy, no doubt about it, but what makes him stand out from the rest is the way he styles up and delivers his jokes on stage.
His series of unexpected punchlines, his undeniable swag, and fast-paced speech kept those in the audience smiling from ear to ear throughout his acts.
However, the comedian saved his best jokes for the finale and gave his funniest performance yet. Check it out in the video below:
9. Daniel Emmet (opera singer)
Daniel Emmet was initially eliminated from the competition, but the judges decided to give him a second chance. Most likely, it’s not a decision they regret making, as Daniel brought something fresh and unexpected to the show.
You may remember Daniel’s rendition of Aerosmith‘s classic “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” which made the audience feel like they were attending a live concert at the Spanish opera.
For his last performance, Daniel took a chance and serenaded the audience with a cover of “Perfect Symphony” by Ed Sheeran.
You can watch it in the video below:
10. Michael Ketterer (singer)
It’s safe to say that it takes having an exceptional voice to impress Simon Cowell, the most exigent of the judges. However, Michael Ketterer did more than that and brought Simon to tears with his performance in the finale.
That was pretty much the general reaction he got from the audience, proving once more that Michael’s most significant quality as an artist is his ability to touch people’s hearts.
Michael ended the show with emotion, a perfect finish to a memorable night. Take a look:
