Veronika Goroshkova AGT Season 21: Golden Buzzer Finalist

Veronika Goroshkova performing her Golden Buzzer aerial pole act on America's Got Talent Season 21

July 19, 2026

Veronika Goroshkova stood beneath a long metal pole suspended above the America’s Got Talent Season 21 stage while the judges moved their chairs to clear the performance area. Once she climbed above the stage, the absence of a visible harness or safety net made every rotation, release, and controlled drop feel more dangerous.

Veronika combined aerial strength, flexibility, balance, and showmanship while performing high above a hard platform. Simon Cowell compared the audition to a gold-medal performance, and Sofía Vergara sent Veronika directly to the live shows with her Golden Buzzer. Veronika later advanced through both Quarterfinals 2 and the Semifinals through America’s Vote before reaching the Season 21 Finals and finishing fifth.

Who Is Veronika Goroshkova?

Veronika Goroshkova is a Ukrainian aerialist who performs a high-risk aerial pole act combining strength, flexibility, rotation, balance, and controlled drops. Before appearing on America’s Got Talent, she performed in Cirque du Soleil’s Las Vegas production Mad Apple.

Veronika told the judges that one of her dreams was to compete in the Olympics. Her mother also serves as her coach, giving the audition a personal connection beyond the technical difficulty of the performance.

Veronika Goroshkova’s America’s Got Talent Audition

Before Veronika began, the judges moved their chairs away from the center of the performance area. A long pole descended from above and swung over the stage, changing the usual AGT setup and placing the judges close to the path of the apparatus.

Veronika climbed the pole and began rotating above the stage. She extended her body into horizontal strength positions, moved through deep splits, and shifted between holds while the pole continued to swing.

The danger became more visible as she released her grip and dropped down the pole before catching herself again. There was no visible harness, safety net, or padded landing area beneath her. The audience could see the hard platform below every time she changed position.

Veronika maintained a calm expression throughout the routine. Even during the fastest rotations and sudden drops, she smiled and moved into the next position without showing hesitation. The contrast between the apparent ease of her presentation and the difficulty of the movements made the act more compelling.

The final sequence sent Veronika sliding rapidly down the pole toward the platform before stopping herself near the bottom. The judges and audience reacted immediately as she completed the routine.

Veronika Goroshkova’s Golden Buzzer Moment

Golden Buzzer – Sofía Vergara

Simon Cowell connected Veronika’s Olympic ambition to what the judges had just witnessed. He called the audition a gold-medal performance and praised the difficulty, danger, staging, and showmanship.

Sofía Vergara initially noted that the judges had seen aerial acts before and that their viewing angle had been unusual. She then said she had a feeling she needed to act and pressed the Golden Buzzer.

Gold confetti fell around Veronika and her mother as they celebrated together. The Golden Buzzer made Veronika the final Golden Buzzer recipient of the Season 21 auditions and sent her directly to the live shows.

Why Veronika Goroshkova Stood Out

Veronika’s audition made the danger easy for viewers to understand. The judges moved out of the way, the pole swung above a hard platform, and there was no visible safety system beneath her. The staging ensured that the height and risk remained part of the performance rather than fading into the background.

Her control was equally important. Veronika did not simply climb high and hold poses. She rotated around the pole, extended into demanding strength positions, opened into splits, released into sudden drops, and recovered without interrupting the flow of the routine.

The performance also had a clear visual progression. It began with the unusual placement of the judges, moved into increasingly difficult aerial positions, and finished with a rapid descent toward the stage. Each phase raised the tension without making the routine feel repetitive.

Sofía later emphasized that Veronika completed the dangerous movements while smiling and making them appear easy. That composure gave the audition the polish of an established production act rather than a demonstration of individual aerial skills.

Veronika brought that same combination of danger and control into Quarterfinals 2. Performing high above the stage without a safety net or visible attachment, she again combined aerial movement, athleticism, flexibility, and graceful transitions while the audience reacted throughout the routine.

The Quarterfinal performance reinforced one of the qualities that had made her audition distinctive: Veronika made difficult and dangerous movements look effortless. Sofía said there was no one like her and called the performance perfection, adding that Veronika appeared even more confident than she had during her audition. She predicted that America would vote for her.

Howie Mandel praised Veronika as more than an aerialist, describing her as an aerialist, dancer, athlete, and contortionist. He called the performance inspiring and admitted that it scared him. Mel B focused on both the power and danger of the routine, calling Veronika graceful and brilliant while emphasizing that she performed without a safety net or attachment.

Those reactions captured why the Quarterfinal performance worked. Veronika did not need to disguise the physical difficulty of the act with a complicated concept. The combination of height, risk, athletic control, and polished presentation gave the audience an immediate reason to understand the stakes, and America’s Vote ultimately confirmed that the performance connected with viewers.

In the Semifinals, Veronika made the aerial pole routine faster, higher, and more dangerous. She repeatedly spun around the pole with little visible support, changing positions while maintaining the controlled lines that made the difficulty look easier than it was.

Sofía said Veronika continued making the act more challenging every time she appeared. Mel B focused on the elegance and apparent effortlessness of the movement, while Howie reacted to the speed, height, and danger of the routine. America’s Vote moved Veronika into the Finals.

For the Finals, Veronika pushed the danger again, combining strength and control high above the stage while moving through positions that left little margin for error.

Sofía said Veronika continued getting better and making the act more dangerous while somehow keeping it flawless and beautiful. Howie singled out her athletic ability and strength, while Mel B said the performance exceeded what she thought Veronika could add after her earlier appearances.

Guest judge KSI described the performance as dangerous, fierce, and scary. America’s Vote ultimately placed Veronika fifth in the Season 21 final standings.

What Happens Next for Veronika Goroshkova?

Veronika Goroshkova completed America’s Got Talent Season 21 in fifth place.

After Sofía Vergara’s Golden Buzzer sent her from the auditions to the live competition, Veronika advanced through America’s Vote in Quarterfinals 2 and again in the Semifinals to earn a place in the ten-act Finals.

Her Season 21 run was defined by repeatedly increasing the speed, height, and danger of her aerial pole performances while maintaining the control and polished presentation that first earned Sofía’s Golden Buzzer. Veronika ultimately completed the Season 21 Top 5 behind Nene Royal, Geno Ploeger, Hundred Fingers, and Royal Lasers.
